We are millstone dressers, keeping the old craft of dressing stones by hand. To us a millstone is more than stone: dressed and set by hand, it cuts, it grinds well and it keeps a mill working. That is what our work is about.
What pleases us most are the mills and museums that come back, and the stones grinding for years. That is the sign that craft and care are worth something.
We enjoy a heritage mill most of all. Bringing a set of stones back to a sharp dress so a mill grinds again is the best work there is.
